These Website Standard Terms and Conditions written on this webpage shall manage your use of our website,

These Terms will be applied fully and affect to your use of this Website. By using this Website, you agree to accept all terms and conditions written in here. You must not use this Website if you disagree with any of these Website Standard Terms and Conditions

These are terms and conditions on which we, “The Company” (Haylock Furnishing (South) Ltd T/A Carpet Barn & The Bedstore) supply goods and services to you, “The Customer”.

We are registered in England, reg no: 01669420 Haylock Furnishing (South) Ltd and our registered office address is Ebenezer House, 5a Poole Road, Bournemouth, Dorset, BH2 5QJ.

If we need to contact you, we will do so by telephone or in writing / by email using the contact details you have provided.


If you place your order via our online store then we will deem it as a distant sale.  We will send you a confirmation of our order before checking the price and stock position.  When we contact you to confirm the order and discuss delivery, the contract between The Company and The Customer will be formed.

If we are unable to fulfil an order for any reason we will contact you.  Any monies received will be refunded in full the same way payment was made and there will be no contract formed.

Payment is required in full before an order can be processed.


We do offer a Free Nationwide Delivery on all our Mlily Mattress range.

Delivery is free to postcodes within a 10 mile radius to each of our stores.  These postcodes are coded into our checkout process and will allow an order to be placed if your postcode meets this criteria.  Delivery is not possible to postcodes outside of this criteria and as such, orders will not be able to be placed or accepted.

If applicable, any delivery fee will be agreed with you in advance before payment is made.

Please inform us at the time of ordering, or at the order confirmation stage, of any access issues when delivery goods.  Access issues outside and inside your property should be highlighted and we cannot be held liable if we cannot access your property.  In any such event, goods will be left at kerbside and the delivery will be deemed complete.

Deliveries are not timed and will be made between 9am and 5.30pm unless otherwise agreed.  We can arrange for the drivers to call you on the day of delivery to give you a better idea of time once they have planned their delivery route.  If no one is available to take delivery on the agreed delivery day then we reserve the right to charge a £20.00 charge.  Delivery will be re arranged to another day.

Whilst every effort is made to ensure we keep our delivery appointments, any times given are approximate and cannot be guaranteed as previous drops may take longer than anticipated or any unforeseen circumstances may delay the driver.  Should any delay occur we will do our best to contact you with an update.  If delivery cannot be done for whatever reason, we will contact you to arrange a new delivery date for the soonest available agreed day.

The Company cannot accept responsibility for any damage to paintwork, decorations or furniture when making deliveries into your property.  Fixtures, fittings and furniture that may cause problems with deliveries should be removed prior to our team entering your property.

Goods can be collected from any of our stores within the opening hours as noted on our contact page.  Please do not turn up to collect any goods until we have contacted you to agree a set collection day.

Cancellations and Returns

You can cancel the contract prior to goods being delivered by contacting us.  We reserve the right to charge a 10% restocking fee of the total value of the goods being cancelled if the goods have been cut for dispatch.  Refunds, less any restocking fee, will be repaid using the same method you used for payment.

If the reason for cancelling the contract prior to delivery is due to our error, then refunds will be made for the full payment amount received without deduction.

We are duly obliged to conform with The Consumer Rights Act 2015 and goods must be as described on our website, fit for the purpose intended, and of satisfactory quality.  Under the terms of the Act, the following applies to all products, barring our Mlily mattress range:

14 Day Cooling Off Period

If you are not satisfied with your purchased goods, you have the right to reject them within 14 days of the delivery date or collection date. To initiate the return process, please inform us of your decision to reject the goods within this period. Once you’ve informed us, you will have an additional 14 days to return the goods to us in their original condition.

Here are the rules for returning goods:

  • Goods must be unused and undamaged, without any signs of being cut into or altered.
  • If the products are packaged, the packaging must be in its original condition.
  • Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns of part packs of flooring or goods that have been partially or fully fitted.

The return of unwanted goods is your responsibility, and not that of The Company. If you choose to use a courier for the return, we recommend insuring the goods against damage during transit, as you will be liable until the items are received and inspected by us. Please note that we cannot arrange the collection of unwanted goods.

We can accept returns for unused packs of flooring (excluding rolled products like carpet, matting, and vinyl) as long as the packaging is intact, and the packs are full and not partial. In the case of any accepted part returns, a 10% restocking fee will be deducted from the refund amount.

Lastly, please be aware that the 14-day cooling-off period only applies to orders placed through our online shop. It does not cover orders made in our physical stores or over the phone.

Mlily Mattress Range Return Policy

If you wish to return your Mlily mattress, you have a 14-day period to notify Carpet Barn of your intentions. After notifying us, you have 28 days to return the mattress.

Please arrange for the product’s return to our Ferndown store at your own expense; it is not covered by The Company.

Once we receive the returned mattress at our Ferndown store, we will promptly arrange for a new mattress to be shipped to your location.

Please note that this return policy applies only to orders placed via the shop site, not to orders placed in our physical stores or over the phone.

Product Faults

If there is an issue with the product please contact us in the first instance and we can advise the best steps for resolution.  We reserve the right to carry out a site visit to inspect the fault before accepting liability.

If fault is reported and accepted within 30 days of delivery or collection of the goods then you will be entitled to a full refund or replacement.  Goods will be collected at our expense and if a replacement is being delivered, this will be done at the same time as collection is made.  The onus is on The Company to disprove fault existed at the time of purchase.

If fault is reported after the initial 30 day period mentioned above, you will be entitled to a replacement or repair.  If either of this is not possible, you will be entitled to a full refund.

It is imperative that you check your product for faults prior to cutting or fitting them.  The majority of faults will be visible, we may not be able to offer a refund if goods have been fitted with a fault.


The prices shown on our products include VAT (at the prevailing rate) and there is no additional charge made for our ‘free local delivery’ offer.  Delivery may be charged if we agree to deliver to areas outside of the set postcodes.  Any delivery charge will be quoted and agreed in advance.

Prices are subject to change at any time and we cannot be held liable for increase to supplier prices or VAT rate changes.

There may be occasions where we unfortunately make errors with the pricing shown on our product listings.  If you place an order and the price should in fact be higher, we will contact you to ascertain if you want to pay the extra before we confirm your order.  Should you not wish to continue with the order, we will refund any monies paid in full.

  1. Product information

The pictures and images on our website are for illustrative purposes only and whilst we have made every effort to display colours and quality as accurately as possible, we cannot guarantee that your viewing device will display the true accuracy of the product colour.  As such, your product colour may vary from that shown on your device.  Samples are available on request where displayed.

We cannot be held liable for any errors with your measurements.  Any advice offered is done so as guidance only and you should satisfy your measurements are correct before placing an order.

Please ensure you are happy with the suitability of the product before placing an order.  Please contact us if you require any advice regarding the suitability of any of the products shown.

Intellectual Property Rights

Other than the content you own, under these Terms, The Company  and its licensors own all the intellectual property rights and materials contained in this Website.

You are granted limited license only for purposes of viewing the material contained on this Website.


You are specifically restricted from all of the following:

  • publishing any Website material in any other media;
  • selling, sublicensing and/or otherwise commercialising any Website material;
  • publicly performing and/or showing any Website material;
  • using this Website in any way that is or may be damaging to this Website;
  • using this Website in any way that impacts user access to this Website;
  • using this Website contrary to applicable laws and regulations, or in any way may cause harm to the Website, or to any person or business entity;
  • engaging in any data mining, data harvesting, data extracting or any other similar activity in relation to this Website;
  • using this Website to engage in any advertising or marketing.

Certain areas of this Website are restricted from being accessed by you and The Company may further restrict access by you to any areas of this Website, at any time, in absolute discretion. Any user ID and password you may have for this Website are confidential and you must maintain confidentiality as well.

Mlily Mattress Range Return Policy

The customer has a 14-day period to notify Carpet Barn that they intend to return the mattress. Once notice is given, the customer has 28 days in which to return the mattress.

If you wish to return your Mlily mattress, it is the customer’s responsibility to arrange for the product’s return to our Ferndown store. This is at the customer’s own expense.

We kindly ask that you coordinate the shipping or transportation of the mattress to our store. Once we receive the returned mattress at our Ferndown store, we will promptly arrange for a new mattress to be shipped to your location.

Your Content

In these Terms and Conditions, “Your Content” shall mean any audio, video text, images or other material you choose to display on this Website. By displaying Your Content, you grant The Company a non-exclusive, worldwide irrevocable, sub licensable license to use, reproduce, adapt, publish, translate and distribute it in any and all media.

Your Content must be your own and must not be invading any third-party’s rights. The Company reserves the right to remove any of Your Content from this Website at any time without notice.

Limitation of liability

In no event shall The Company, nor any of its officers, directors and employees,  be held liable for anything arising out of or in any way connected with your use of this Website whether such liability is under contract.  The Company,  including its officers, directors and employees shall not be held liable for any indirect, consequential or special liability arising out of or in any way related to your use of this Website.


If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid under any applicable law, such provisions shall be deleted without affecting the remaining provisions herein.

Variation of Terms

The Company is permitted to revise these Terms at any time as it sees fit, and by using this Website you are expected to review these Terms on a regular basis.


The Company has the right to assign, transfer, and subcontract its rights and/or obligations under these Terms without any notification. However, you are not allowed to assign, transfer, or subcontract any of your rights and/or obligations under these Terms.

Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between The Company and you in relation to your use of this Website, and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
